When I first started my nutrition business back in 2014, things felt T.O.U.G.H! . I felt like I had a to do list the size of my head and that I was constantly working. It was like every day I was putting a 10-12 hour work day in but making LITTLE progress on the bigger picture. . What was going wrong? I asked myself this every day 🤷🏻‍♀️ . You know what it was? I was trying to do every single thing perfectly. It’s as simple as that! I wouldn’t complete a task because I wasn’t satisfied with how it turned out, so at times I would be juggling 10 or more half-done, half-ready tasks at once. Talk about overwhelmed, confused and burnt out! . So when did things change? How did I ever move out of this hamster wheel cycle? . I decided that I would work on one task at a time, complete it, and MOVE ON. Ok I know this sounds simplistic, but hear me out. Instead of constantly refining, retouching and reconfiguring everything I was putting out into the world, I decided that GOOD IS GOOD ENOUGH (and believe me, being a perfectionist and declaring this out loud was scary!) . I started working on things with one simple intention in mind - to get things done. The focus shifted from feeling overwhelmed with SO much to do to feeling like all I had to do was check one thing off at a time. . Things started to change. I felt lighter! And things started to move and grow in my business. . My advice for you? Keep on going my love. I know it feels like you’ve got a lot on your plate right now, but don’t get lost in the noise. Put one foot in front of the other every single day, declare that you will get things done one by one, and that good is good enough! You’ve got this ✨ . Now that the new year is in full swing, a lot of us are starting to put our business plans into action and dreaming up big ideas on how we can bring new clients in. . Here are some pointers for you to consider when you’re creating your next program or offering for your clients ✨ . 1. Learn your client’s pain points - get super clear on where your client is struggling right now. What are their fears, symptoms and struggles? What keeps them up at night? . 2. Understand where your client desires to be - figure out where your client wishes they could be, feel or do if they didn’t have any obstacles in their way. . 3. Lead them through the transformation - get clear on how you can provide a service or offering that gets your client from Point A to B. What is it that you can offer for your client that will transform them from where they currently are to where they desire to be? . Keeping these 3 things in mind when you’re creating your programs and offerings will make a HUGE difference in your business. They help you to stay focused on what your client truly needs and helps you to develop an offering that speaks directly to them and has them saying, “YES, I need that!” 🙋🏻‍♀️ . All it takes is one step! Seriously. And I know the first step can feel like the hardest one of all, but it’s the most important one. Once you make the choice to start, to begin, to step forward...everything falls into place ✨ . Also, we need to stop waiting on the PERFECT time to start stepping into our business. Start right now with what you’ve got and keep reminding yourself that good is good enough. You’ll learn as you go! But the most important thing is to stop holding yourself back and start with leaning in more ✨
This year I’ve decided not to make any resolutions, because to be honest, I’m over it! Instead, I’ve decided to see myself as ALREADY arrived, ALREADY healed, ALREADY good enough and not someone that’s broken and needs fixing ✨ . Of course I’ll always be putting the work in to take care of myself the best I can and continuing to learn how I can fully show up in my business, but I’m choosing to see that I’m already worth this and so much more, and not have to make myself “better” in any way, shape or form in order to truly deserve this. . How will you ever know what you’re capable of if you never put yourself out there and start? ✨ . The top worry I hear from almost all of my clients is that they’re afraid to launch their website, put an offer out, do their first workshop, or create the online program they’ve been dreaming about because their first version might not be their best version. . They’re scared of being judged, as being seen as a fraud, or of not being good enough. Can you relate? . So I’m here to remind you - taking the first step is the most courageous thing you can do! But it’s also the most necessary thing that you must do✨✨ . The only way to grow and improve is to start somewhere. Anywhere! . And sometimes the act of putting something out into the world before you feel 100% ready shows you that you are more than capable of doing this. It takes that little nagging voice inside your head that says, ‘but it’s not perfect yet!’ and gives it a hug. Reminds it that perfection is not the goal but rather progress. . Be kind to yourself my friend, you have to start somewhere and making mistakes or putting something out that isn’t perfect is part of that process...I promise! ✨
Who's ready to plan for an incredibly productive 2019? . My intention moving into the new year is all about EASE! I'm all about setting up my business so I'm working smarter, not harder ✨ . I'm getting started by... ✨ Cleaning up my email inbox completely (goodbye early 2007 emails!) . ✨ Batching my work days (social media on monday's, client sessions tuesday's & thursday's and so on) . ✨ Putting some intentional time limits on my social media use (have you seen the new settings on the iPhone that let you set a time limit?) . ✨ Investing in a 2019 planning session and 6 month mastermind with a coach . ✨ Doing my non-negotiable daily (for me that's going for a walk near the ocean every single day) . 👉 What is one thing you're planning to do to make 2019 the best year for you and your biz?
Before you jump in and start to develop all of the programs and offerings for your nutrition business, I want you to ask yourself one simple question... . What do you really love doing? 💕 . Because this is YOUR business, you can create it as a reflection of what truly lights you up 🤗 . ✨ Maybe meal planning is your jam? Do that! . ✨ Speaking in front of a crowd get you going? Book some workshops! . ✨ Having deep convos with others is your thing? 1-1 work might be for you! . ✨ Want time freedom in your schedule? Perhaps create an online program! . There is NO one right way to run a business, there’s only the way that’s right for you! . So I wanna know, what really lights you up? 💡✨
