After years of feeling off my game and struggling with my health (think chronic migraines and digestive issues), I knew I had to make a change in my life and decided to enroll in nutrition school.
I devoured every nutrition book I could get my hands on and couldn't wait to graduate so I could make a positive impact in other people's lives too.
When graduation day finally came, I was sent off with my certification in hand, feeling over-the-moon excited. But then one big scary question hit me:
“How do I get started?”
With no idea what I needed to do, I committed every waking hour to working on my business but was stuck making little to no progress. The only thing that seemed to be constantly growing was my collection of frequent coffee buyers card!
I felt stuck and had no idea how to move forward.
As I reached the year mark in my business, I wondered why clients weren't knocking down my door or seeking me out on the street.
I spent my days prepping client handouts, developing protocols I was sure I’d some day need, spending a ton of time on social media trying to pull together some type of marketing plan.
Truthfully, I was putting my energy in all of the wrong things.
The big leaps and bounds in my business only started to come together when I simplified my client processes, clarified my business vision, allowed myself to coach confidently, and allowed myself to believe I had the ability to run a successful business.
Clients started to come in. I was also getting referrals from other practitioners, booking monthly workshops, and, with every day, feeling more confident in my coaching skills.
As I started hearing from others about their own nutrition businesses, I recognized my own story in them. They too were struggling with the start-up process, wishing that something or someone would help them create their dream nutrition businesses.
That was when it hit me:
Having grown my own business to become successful, I knew I could help others achieve the same. And I was right. After working with dozens of clients and students, what I’ve seen time and time again is this:
When you set yourself up for success with a solid foundation and guidance from a coach that's been through it before, creating that positive momentum in your business is a given.
